To the ‘Welcome to My Life!’ Photovoice project!

The ‘Welcome to My Life!’ project was conducted between March and May 2010 in the Kumasi metropolis, Ghana. The Photovoice methodology was used to give people with physical disabilities a voice, gain insight in their daily lives and assess their needs to improve participation in the community. During a final dissemination meeting, the findings were presented at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to local policy makers, traditional authorities, national press as well as different disability patient organizations and other relevant stakeholders:
